Parents or students can pick up packets on Thursday from 11 am- 1 pm in the Pond Student Union Lobby by the Welcome Wall. If you would like your student to pick up the family weekend packet, please indicate that when registering.

3 - 5 pm

Park in the general lot at the Pond Student Union Building. Parents or students can pick up packets on Friday from 3 - 5:30 pm in the Pond Student Union second-floor lobby by the Welcome Wall. If you would like your student to pick up the family weekend packet, please indicate that when registering.

Billiards -Games Center

4 - 10 pm

Bengal Family Weekend participants can enjoy one round of billiards at the Games Center in the Pond Student Union Building (first come, first served). Open to Bengal Family Weekend participants only. BFW ID required for entry. Your BFW ID will be available at the student packet pickup table Thursday (11am-1pm) and Friday (3-5pm).

This event is free, and no registration is required.

Bowling - Games Center

4 - 10 pm

Bengal Family Weekend participants can enjoy a free game of bowling at the Games Center in the Pond Student Union Building. BFW ID and event ticket required for entry. Your BFW ID and ticket will be waiting for you at the student packet pickup table Thursday (11am-1pm) and Friday (3-5pm).

By reserving a one-hour time slot, you reserve one lane. Lanes can hold up to six people. Reservations are limited to one bowling game. Please show up ten minutes before your reservation time. If you show up 15 mins after your reserved time, your lane will be forfeited.

Movie - Disney Pixar Hoppers - PG

Bengal Theater

7 pm

Free to Bengal Family Weekend registrants, but BFW ID and event ticket required for entry. Your BFW ID will be available at the student packet pickup table Thursday (11am-1pm) and Friday (3-5pm). ISU students do not need a ticket.

Bengal Street Party

Martin Luther King Drive

4 - 7 pm

We’re turning MLK Drive into a lively street fair filled with interactive booths, activities, food, giveaways, music, and more!

This high-energy event is the grand finale of ISU Celebration Week, and we’re going out in style with an unforgettable community-wide celebration from 4-7 p.m. This is your chance to connect with fellow Bengals and community members in a lively, family-friendly atmosphere!

This event is free, and no registration is needed.

Pocatello Memorial Stair Climb

5 pm

Each year on September 11, Idaho State University’s 9/11 Day of Service AmeriCorps program hosts the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb to honor the lives lost and heroes who served during the events of 9/11. Community members are invited to participate by climbing the stairs in tribute, taking part in hands-on service projects, or cheering on climbers as we come together in remembrance, service, and community spirit. 

Recreation Center

8 am - 7 pm

Need to get in a workout? Check out the outstanding facilities in Reed Gym! We have a variety of options for a wide range of recreation and physical activities, all free to Bengal Family Weekend registrants.

Open to Bengal Family Weekend participants only. BFW ID required for entry. Your BFW ID will be available at the student packet pickup table Thursday (11am-1pm) and Friday (3-5pm). To use the cardio or weights areas, participants must be at least 16 years old.  Any minor who enters the gym must be accompanied by a parent to sign the waiver and provide supervision.

Disc Golf - Recreation Center

8 am - 6 pm

Enjoy the outdoors and a free round of disc golf! Courses range from beginner to advanced. Discs may be checked out* at the Recreation and Wellness desk inside Reed Gym between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 12 or Sunday, September 13. BFW ID required for entry. Your BFW ID will be available at the student packet pickup table Thursday (11am-1pm) and Friday (3-5pm).

*To check out discs, you must leave a driver's license or your student ID at the desk. Disc Golf Courses:

Brunch - Turner Hall

10 am - 2 pm

Join your student for brunch at Turner. $14.99/person. Menu: buffet-style breakfast options, such as homestyle entrees, bakery items, grilled items, fruit, and various beverages. BFW ID and event ticket required for entry. Your BFW ID will be available at the student packet pickup table Thursday (11am-1pm) and Friday (3-5pm).

ISU students DO NOT need a ticket if they have a meal plan (most students living on campus). ISU students need a ticket if they DO NOT have a meal plan (most students who are living off campus).

Climbing Wall, Recreation Center

1 - 5 pm

Bengal Family Weekend participants can enjoy indoor climbing at the Recreation Center climbing wall. Open to Bengal Family Weekend participants only. BFW ID and event ticket required for entry. Your BFW ID will be available at the student packet pickup table Thursday (11am-1pm) and Friday (3-5pm). ISU students need a ticket. 

Children under age 8 are not permitted to climb and must remain in the non-climbing area under active adult supervision. Babies in carriers are not permitted into the climbing area.

Groups are limited to 6 to allow everyone time to climb. By reserving a time slot, you are ready to climb at that time. This reservation is so everyone who wants to climb on Saturday will be able to.

Swimming - Reed Gym

1 - 5 pm 

Free to Bengal Family Weekend registrants; your BFW ID is required for entry each day. Your BFW ID will be available at the student packet pickup table Thursday (11am-1pm) and Friday (3-5pm). Children must stay with and be directly supervised.

Tailgate

ICCU Dome (Holt Arena)

2:30 - 3:30 pm

Fuel up on snacks before the football game at the BFW tailgate. BFW ID and event voucher required for entry. Your BFW ID will be available at the student packet pickup table Thursday (11am-1pm) and Friday (3-5pm). ISU students need a voucher.

Football Game vs. San Diego 

ICCU Dome (Holt Arena)

4 pm

ROAR for the Bengals at the Saturday, September 12, football game against the University of San Diego. Kickoff at 4:00 p.m. in the ICCU Dome (Holt Arena). 

ISU students will need to redeem their ticket online. At that time, the ISU Student will also have the option to purchase up to 4 additional tickets at the discounted price. Student ticket

Parking can be purchased upon entering the ICCU Dome (Holt Arena). There is additional parking at Reed Gym and some street parking.
