REGISTRATION FOR BENGAL FAMILY WEEKEND

Many events are free of charge, but they do require a ticket to attend. The full schedule of events can be found below. Events without a price or ticket information listed next to them are open to everyone and no registration is required. 

 

 

Friday

Noon-5pm
Visit the Idaho Museum of Natural History (free admission with ticket)
The museum is located to the west of Pond Student Union. Look for the bison sculpture on the sidewalk.

Alpine Tower Challenge Course (free admission with ticket)
The course is located at 1998 Alvin Ricken Drive, Pocatello.

Join ISU's Outdoor Adventure Center (OAC) staff at this great challenge course! Our 50' tall structure provides a unique experience, which includes an option to enjoy a giant swing in which participants are hauled as high as 30' by a team and then swing in a 60 degree arc. The wall features four different roped climbing areas, allowing participants to scale to the top of the tower. The OAC staff will work with participants to help them safely enjoy the experience. All ages and abilities are welcome.

Bengal Family Dinner (Adult 12+ $8, Child 11- $4)
Pond Student Union, Wood River Room

Featuring a welcome by President Satterlee, guest speaker Dr. Alex Bolinger, and a showing of the Emmy nominated short documentary, Through Youthful Eyes. This documentary is based on a book written by four ISU students which addressed Idaho’s impact, influence and efforts during WWII.

Volleyball vs. Northern Colorado ($3 for visitors; students enter free)

Family Hike to the Pillars
Red Hill

Take some time with your student and enjoy a short hike to the ISU Pillars. From this vantage point, there is a great view of the ISU campus and the surrounding city. The view is wonderful at all times of the day, but it is especially memorable in the late evening as the sun sets and everything below sparks to life.
