I absolutely love the field of early childhood care and education and am passionate about passing this love along to students. Upon graduating, I landed my dream job working for the College of Education in their lab school as an infant/toddler teacher, pre-school teacher, parent involvement coordinator, and as center manager/director. During this time, I also taught many classes for the College of Education as an adjunct instructor and still continue to do so today. One of my most proud moments is seeing the children I taught in my career grow up to be successful and remember their time with me as their teacher when they were little. I also have the same experiences now when I see my graduates in the field making an impact on children’s lives. I am proud to be a part of this program in my current position of instructor and program co-coordinator. This program has graduated hundreds of quality students who have gone on to have positive influences on children, families, and early childhood programs all over the country.

I absolutely love the field of Early Childhood Care and Education and am passionate about passing this love along to students. I was fortunate to have my dream job straight out of college as the preschool teacher in an inclusive classroom working with children who were typically developing and those with special needs. The ECCE program here at the College of Technology began in 1993 as a 12 credit program and has grown to include an Intermediate Technical Certificate and an Associate of Applied Science degree. I am proud to have been a part of this program for its entire history, either as the Field Advisor, an advisory board member and mentor for students in the program, or now in my current position of instructor and program co-coordinator. This program has graduated hundreds of quality students who have gone on to have positive influences on children, families, and Early Childhood programs all over the country.
