Non-Resident Tuition Breakdown

Non-Resident Tuition is comprised of Full Time Resident Tuition, Consolidated fees and a Non-Resident Fee.

Note for students receiving a Non-Resident Tuition Waiver (NRTW): A Non-Resident Tuition Waiver is applied to waive Non-Resident Fees only. The total tuition amount will be reduced to reflect Resident Tuition and Consolidated fees.

What are Mandatory Consolidated Fees?

The Mandatory Consolidated Fee consists of the facilities fee, technology fee, and activity fees. This is not a new fee. This has been a part of the Full Time fee and Part Time Fee in the past. This change is a result of the State Board of Education's decision to present a breakdown of the total tuition assessed. A Full Time Student is assessed with a flat rate Consolidated fees whereas a Part Time Student is assessed with a per credit hour Consolidated Fee. This is added along with other class fees and professional fees (depending upon student registration) to the tuition of the student. 

Undergraduate Part Time Tuition Calculation Example

Example: Student Registered for 6 credits*

Mandatory Consolidated Fee $498.78 Part Time fee is $83.13 * 6 credits
Total Tuition and Consolidated Fees $2,560.50 The total is subject to change based on number of credits registered, other class fees and professional fees. 

*Number of credits can be changed.

Note: Tuition and fees will not be charged higher than the Full Time Rate and it will follow the Part Time Student at Full Time Rate.

Example: Student Registered for 6 credits*

Undergraduate Part Time Student at Full Time Rate (9, 10, or 11 credits)

Total Tuition and Consolidated Fees at 9 Credits $3,744.29 $2,996.12 + ($83.13 * 9 credits).  The Part Time Tuition rate $3,092.58 (calculated $343.62 * 9 credits) cannot be greater than the Full Time Tuition for 12 credits at $2,996.12. 
Total Tuition and Consolidated Fees  at 10 Credits $3,827.42 $2,996.12 + ($83.13 * 10 credits) The Part Time Tuition rate $3,43.62 (calculated $343.62 * 10 credits) cannot be greater than the Full Time Tuition for 12 credits at $2,996.12. 
Total Tuition and Consolidated Fees  at 11 Credits $3,910.55 $2,996.12 + ($83.13 * 11 credits) The Part Time Tuition rate $3,779.82 (calculated $343.62 * 11 credits) cannot be greater than the Full Time Tuition for 12 credits at $2,996.12.
