Idaho CHW Network Community Guidelines

Welcome to our statewide network! To ensure this remains a safe, professional, and highly resource-rich space for all Idaho CHWs, please review and follow our community guidelines:

1. Share Generously & Source Locally

  • What to share: Drop links to community resources, state/federal grants, continuing education (CEU) opportunities, and toolkits that can help your clients.
  • Keep it relevant: Focus on resources accessible to Idaho residents or professional development specific to the CHW workforce.

2. Ask Freely & Respect Diverse Insights

  • No question is too small: Lean on the collective wisdom of CHWs from the Panhandle to the Magic Valley. We are all here to learn from one another.
  • Stay constructive: Keep debates professional, respect differing viewpoints, and uplift your peers. Constructive feedback is welcome; judgment is not.

3. Strict Privacy & HIPAA Compliance

  • Zero-tolerance for PHI: Never share Protected Health Information (PHI) or identifiable client details.
  • Keep it general: If you need brainstorming help for a complex client case, alter all identifying details (names, specific locations, exact employer/family details) and speak in broad, hypothetical terms.

4. Keep it Professional & On-Topic

    • No spam or soliciting: Avoid posting unrelated chain messages, personal business promotions, or political campaigning.
    • Respect the ping: Use the @all tag sparingly and only for urgent, statewide announcements or time-sensitive opportunities.
  • Use Community Groups for topic-specific chats: As we grow, we’ll launch dedicated spaces (starting with Behavioral Health) so the main feed doesn't get overrun. You choose exactly which groups to join, keeping your notifications relevant to your interests.

5. Confidentiality Within the Community

  • What happens here stays here: Do not screenshot discussions, challenges, or venting sessions to share outside of this community without explicit permission from the original poster. This is a safe space for Idaho CHWs.

Help keep this space great! Our admins work hard to keep this a welcoming environment. To ensure everyone has a good experience, admins may remove posts or members that don't align with our community guidelines.
