Indoor Facilities

Indoor facility service covers the area of 10,000 sq. ft. of high bay area which is capable of offering different training sessions in any kind of weather condition. The indoor facilities will offer a variety of training scenarios such as mock-up city blocks that can be used to simulate natural and man-made disasters. The training space also has the potential to emulate a stadium, subway station, derailed train, and more. It offers:

  • Additional space for HAZMAT training
  • Laboratory space for various research
  • Classrooms for software, dress, and decontamination training
  • Outdoor asphalt area for various training scenarios requiring utilities: earthquakes, fire, flooding, etc.

Armory Building

The Armory Building will be the main hub for most of the indoor facilities of the DRC project. It features:

  • Approximately 15,000 sq. ft.
  • Offices and classrooms
  • High-bay area (20 ft. clear hight)
  • Indoor and outdoor storage
  • Asphalt outdoor training area
  • Controlled simulation area
  • Supplemental exercise area
  • Equipment and component storage

Other venues available for use by the DRC include (dependent on availability):

  • Holt Arena
    • Features 6,500 sq. ft. arena floor
    • Building footprint of 400 by 200 feet
    • Volume of 15 million cubic feet
    • Ramp access to the arena floor
  • Stephens Performing Arts Center
    • Jensen Grand Concert Hall
    • Black Box Theatre
    • Thrust Theatre
  • Frazier Hall
