Arts and Letters Student Wins Prestigious National Hispanic Honor Society Scholarship
Sadie Stoddard, a recent Spanish for the Health Professions (SHP) graduate, was awarded a National Hispanic Honor Society scholarship from Sigma Delta Pi to refine her Spanish in Costa Rica for one month.
The College of Arts & Letters is proud to announce that seven faculty members were nominated for the Idaho State Journal’s “20 Under 40” award. Every year the prestigious award is given to members of the community under the age of 40 whose contributions to the community and accomplishments have been a step above the rest. Congratulations to Vanessa Ballam and Zack Heern for receiving the award.
Fourteen eastern Idaho high school students will receive over $120,400 in scholarships from Idaho State University toward their undergraduate degrees. The students learned about these scholarships through the College of Arts and Letters Road Scholars program.
The Idaho State University Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program has been granted accreditation from the American Psychological Association Commission on Accreditation (APA-CoA) for seven additional years, and remains the only accredited clinical psychology Ph.D. program in the state.
ISU Summer Theatre program to present “Fiddler on the Roof”
Idaho State University’s summer musical “Fiddler on the Roof” will take place on June 8, 9, 10, 12, 15, 16 and 17 in the Beverly B. Bistline Theatre of the L.E. and Thelma E. Stephens Performing Arts Center. All performances start at 7:30 p.m., except a matinee performance at 2 p.m. on June 8.
Every year during honor society Phi Kappa Phi’s initiation event, dean Kandi Turley-Ames surprises a new inductee with a scholarship from the College of Arts and Letters. This year, dance major Amanda Stubblefield was the recipient.
