Tiffany Sorensen
President

Tiffany started working at ISU in 2015. Currently, she is the Associate Director of Student Success and Retention at Idaho State University. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the College of Idaho in 2009, and a Masters in Public Administration from ISU in 2019. She is passionate about removing barriers and empowering students to find their own success through higher education.
While not at work, Tiffany spends her free time with her family and friends, and being outdoors as much as possible. She grew up outside of Portland, Oregon, loves visiting the Pacific Northwest every chance she gets.
Dylan Koenig

Dylan joined Idaho State University as an Academic Advisor in the Office of Academic Advising in June of 2021. He received his master's degree in college counseling and student development from St. Cloud State University. He has a passion supporting students as they navigate through their educational journeys.
Dylan is a Minnesotan at heart which comes with the responsibility of being a massive Minnesota Timberwolves fan. He also enjoys traveling the country with his amazing wife.
Laurel Tomin

Laurel earned a Bachelor of Science degree in University Studies with minors in English and TESOL and a Concentration in Russian Language from BYU-I and taught English at Shoshone-Bannock Jr./Sr. High School for six years before starting started at ISU as an Academic Advisor in the Spring of 2023. She is currently working on a Master's Degree in English and Certificate in TESOL here at ISU. Supporting students as they find their path to success is what drives her professional goals advising students in the College of Arts and Letters.
Laurel has a variety of interests, but her favorite thing is spending time with her family whether it is traveling, camping, or watching a hockey game together.
Eleise Ramos

Eleise has been with ISU since starting as a transfer student in 2020. She has earned her Bachelor’s of Art in University Studies with a minor in History. She is planning on continuing her education by earning a Master’s of Education in Educational Leadership. She has worked with ISU since 2021 and started as a peer advisor within the Office of Academic Advising. She’s now in her current position as the College of Education Pre-Program Academic Advisor. Eleise is passionate about helping students with their academic journey.
Outside work, Eleise enjoys spending time with family and friends. She is also a big fan of many artistic things such as music, theater, and art history. One of her favorite things to do is to bake!
Tate Christensen

Tate started at ISU as a student, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology minoring in Linguistics. During this time, he found his love for helping students as a peer advisor and content area tutor. After working as a high school college and career advisor, Tate returned to ISU as an academic advisor, where he now advises students in the College of Arts & Letters.
You're likely to see Tate walking his dog, Ralf, all around Pocatello. He likes spending time with family and friends, hiking, and reading.
Aaron Todd

Aaron joined Idaho State University as Associate Director in the Office of Academic Advising in October of 2020. He received his Masters degree from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville in 1999 and began his academic advising journey at his undergraduate institution Central Michigan University. Here he served as an academic advisor in the student success center.
From there he spent 7 years at University of Tennessee as the Assistant Director of advising in the College of Arts and Sciences. At Duke University he was an Assistant Dean in academic advising. At both Tennessee and Duke, he worked with student-athletes and partnered with student athlete academic services. William Peace University gave him the opportunity to work as Director of Learning Services before working with graduate students at the University of North Carolina School of Pharmacy.
Aaron enjoys hiking, kayaking, and concerts. His favorite sport to watch is hockey and he roots for the Carolina Hurricanes.
