Voices on the Line

About the Initiative

Voices on the Line is an interactive awareness and community engagement initiative designed to encourage anonymous reflection, expression, and connection. Participants are invited to share messages, experiences, encouragement, or thoughts using color-coded paper t-shirts displayed throughout the campaign space.

Messages may focus on relationships, support, identity, healing, community experiences, or personal reflection. Submissions can be shared anonymously through physical collection boxes or an online submission form.

The initiative was designed and implemented by Danielle R. and utilizes interactive displays, visual storytelling, and community participation to create an approachable and supportive engagement space.

Topics Explored

Voices on the Line encourages reflection and conversation related to:

  • Community support
  • Healthy relationships
  • Identity and belonging
  • Healing and encouragement
  • Personal experiences
  • Peer connection
  • Campus culture

Campaign Activities

The campaign utilized the display space outside the Title IX Office, including interactive wall displays, clothesline installations, educational signage, and a rotating collection of anonymous participant submissions.

Participants selected color-coded paper t-shirts representing different themes or experiences, wrote anonymous messages, and submitted them to be displayed publicly as part of the installation. Community members could also participate anonymously through a QR code linked to an online submission form.

The interactive display encouraged ongoing participation and engagement throughout the duration of the campaign and created opportunities for quiet, self-directed interaction within the community space outside the office.

Impact & Engagement

Voices on the Line received strong engagement from students, staff, and campus visitors. The interactive and anonymous format encouraged participation while allowing individuals to engage at their own comfort level.

The initiative was recognized positively by campus leadership, including the university president, and demonstrated strong potential for expansion into additional campus locations in future semesters.

The campaign also contributed to the continued development of the Title IX Office community engagement space, which includes access to prevention resources, safer sex supplies, menstrual products, educational materials, and a community library.

Resources & Support

If you or someone you know needs support, resources are available through the Title IX Office and campus/community partners.

Additional information about reporting options, supportive measures, prevention education, and campus resources can be found throughout the Education & Prevention Hub.
