ALEKS Math Placement Test

The ALEKS Math Placement assessment is designed to have you take an initial assessment to evaluate your current math skills, and then it will customize practice topics in Learning Modules that you complete between each assessment. For more information visit the ALEKS website.

If you are a first-time ALEKS Placement user and you are an ISU student or have applied to ISU, the ALEKS Math Placement test is offered free of charge. You can take the exam up to 5 times at no cost. When you schedule your appointment, please indicate if you are planning to go into or are currently in a program in the College of Technology.

If you are a non-ISU affiliated student or you are an ISU student who has used the 5 free attempts, you will need to purchase access to the ALEKS Math Assessment directly from the ALEKS website and pay a $15 fee for each additional proctored assessment.

Schedule your ALEKS placement using the icons at the top for Pocatello, Idaho Falls and Meridian campuses. All appointments are Mountain Time. Please make sure that you see either "(GMT-07:00) Mountain Time - Boise" or "(GMT-07:00) Mountain Time - Denver" at the top of the calendar. If you see a different time zone listed, please check the time zone settings of your device or the account you are logged into. If you are not located in Pocatello, Idaho Falls or Meridian you can find out about remote proctoring using the ALEKS @ Home icon above.
