Program Description

The Bachelors of Science in Respiratory Therapy is a degree advancement program, offering students the opportunity to enhance their bedside understanding, obtain insight in healthcare administration and healthcare leadership. This approach helps the program ensure that its graduates are well-rounded, skilled, and prepared to meet the demands of the healthcare field. The program offers a multidisciplinary approach to medicine for registered respiratory therapists.

  • Program starts in August (Fall Start)
  • Fully asynchronous online program
  • Registered Respiratory Therapy (RRT) credential preferred
  • Program is located in Roy F. Christensen Complex (RFC), Building #48, 777 Memorial Dr.

Degree Options

Bachelors of Science in Respiratory Therapy

This program has two pathways to completion:

  • Full time (12 credits per semester) 1 Year
  • Part time (6 credits per semester) 2 Years

Associate of Science degree: Respiratory Therapy

The Associate of Science degree: Respiratory Therapy degree program has two pathways to completion Accelerated (2 years) or Full Time (3 years).

Program Goals

To enhance students' baseline competence in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), communication, and affective (behavioral) learning domains of respiratory care practice, and to improve their understanding of total patient care through a multidisciplinary approach.
