Admissions and How to Apply

The application portal for Fall 2026 is now open. Applications are due March 1st, 2026 in order to be considered for the August 2026 start date.

Students with an interest in maternal and women’s mental health across the lifespan — including perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, pregnancy and infant loss, infertility, birth-related trauma, pelvic floor injuries and conditions, and perimenopause/menopause — are encouraged to apply. Clinical psychology doctoral students will have the opportunity to receive focused training and mentorship in this area by Dr. Kimberley Johnson, a women’s health-focused psychologist and the PsyD Training Clinic Director. 

Applications for the Clinical Psychology PsyD program located in Meridian Idaho are submitted through the ISU Graduate School Portal. You will be asked to submit the following:

  • a statement of purpose that addresses your career goals, relevant past experience, and your interest/fit with the PsyD program at ISU
  • a CV/resume
  • transcripts
  • names and contact information of three letter writers (letter writers will be contacted through the application portal to directly submit their letters)
