Tuition Costs Breakdown

Scholarships and Tuition Assistance
For students in the traditional/synchronous track there are ways you can qualify for Idaho-resident tuition, non-resident tuition waivers (NRTW) and through the Western Regional Graduate Program (WRGP).
Academic Based Graduate NRTW - Your application for admission to the ISU Graduate School serves as your scholarship application for the NRTW. To be considered you must be admitted into the MSCP traditional/synchronous track as a full time, non-resident student (9 graduate credits or greater) with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and not receiving other non-resident waivers. Fall Entry Deadline: July 1st (Early awarding starts in Feb for new students)
WRGP - The ISU Clinical Psychopharmacology program is included in the WRGP. Graduate students who are enrolling in the MSCP traditional/synchronous track and are from the following states are eligible for the WRGP: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wyoming.
To be considered for the WRGP tuition rate simply apply as a full-time student by July of the year you will start, and the department will submit a list of all eligible students.
Assistantships - These are awarded at the departmental level for full-time, degree-seeking students. Full-time graduate assistants can be expected to work up to 19.5 hours per week. If interested, contact the Clinical Psychopharmacology department to see if there is one available.

Admission Requirements
Prospective applicants to the MSCP program must have:
- A doctoral degree in psychology from an accredited program and institution
- Current licensure as a psychologist and have practiced as a health services provider as defined by state law, where applicable, or by the APA
- A minimum graduate GPA of 3.0
- Transcripts
- Current CV
- Two letters of professional recommendation from faculty or professional colleagues
- A letter of intent with a brief statement explaining why the candidate wishes to pursue this degree at Idaho State University and how this would help them attain their professional goals
- GRE scores (scores can be waived if the student graduated from a doctoral program in psychology with a 3.5 GPA or above)
Application Process
We start students each fall, with the application cycle running from January to July 1st. Priority consideration is given to those who apply before May 31st. The MSCP program is a part of the Graduate School at ISU, so to begin the application process you will need to create an account with them.

Curriculum Overview
The MSCP curriculum is equivalent to two full-time years of coursework and is divided into two academic years. There are two tracks, Synchronous/Prescribing Track or Asynchronous/Online Didactic. There is the ability to add the clinical rotation components to the Asynchronous/Online track if a student decides to pursue additional clinical training.
