Dr. Arunima Datta Receives Article Award

Dr. Arunima Datta, assistant professor in history, received the 2022 Carol Gold Best Article Award for her article “Responses to
Traveling Indian Ayahs in Nineteenth and Early Twentieth Century Britain,” published in the Journal of Historical Geography 71 (2021). The Carol Gold Award is awarded by the Coordinating Council for Women in History to the best article published in any area of study of history in the preceding year of the award. Datta will be formally honored in the annual award ceremony of the organization in December.
