Master of Arts Program Named Best in the Northwest by Intelligent.com

Idaho State University’s Master of Arts in Sociology program has been ranked “Best in the Northwest” by Intelligent.com.

Intelligent.com evaluated 255 programs from 201 universities and colleges across the country. A score out of 100 was assigned to each school based on the flexibility, course strength, faculty, reputation, and cost of each program. ISU’s Masters of Arts in Sociology program scored 82.14, and came in at 23rd in the nation and 1st in the northwest.

The Sociology, Social Work, and Criminology department at ISU offers both Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts  degrees.  The program “emphasizes sociological theory, research methods, and analytical skills,” according to the department’s webpage. It also guides students in the development of skills, such as, “oral and written expression, mathematical reasoning, deductive and inductive reasoning, fluency of ideas, and written compression.”
