POCATELLO – The Idaho State University College of Arts and Letters announced that “Artists in Wonderland” is the theme for the sixth annual New Year’s Eve Gala on Dec. 31.

The event will be held in the L.E. and Thelma E. Stephens Performing Arts Center at 8 p.m.

The evening’s entertainment includes mentalist Sean Bott; the music group Gateway, which is composed of ISU students and community members; and students from theatre, dance, art and music.

The night’s food will include a festive tapas menu, an open bar and decadent desserts.

The Gala is held annually to raise money for student scholarships. It also helps recruit potential students and gives students a chance to showcase their talents. In the gala’s first five years, $268,000 in gross revenue has been raised to support ISU students.

The event is being sponsored by Mountain View Hospital, and other sponsorship opportunities are available. For more information on becoming a sponsor, contact Matthew Stucki at (208) 282-1421 or stucmatt@isu.edu.

Tickets to the event are $125 each and are available for purchase at isu.edu/calgala or (208) 282-3207. For more information about the event, contact Melissa Lee at (208) 282-1404 or leemeli@isu.edu.
