Become a Member of the Bengal Marching Band
The ISU Bengal Marching Band joins the Winds, Drums, Colorguard, and Bengal Dancers to perform at ISU Football and community events.
Students may enroll in MUSP 1179 for 1 credit. All current students (at least part time/6 credits) and have a GPA over 2.0 are eligible for scholarship.
Community members may also be a part of the Bengal Marching Band with a firm commitment to attending all rehearsals and performances. There is no monetary benefit for participation of non-students.

The Band meets MWF from 12-2pm in Holt Arena. On game day Saturdays, we rehearse for 90 minutes in the morning, and football games usually begin at 2:30 pm.
2017 BAND CAMP INFORMATION
The ISU Bengal Band Camp begins about a week before classes begin. Band Camp is mandatory for all members. Some meals are provided and on-campus housing is available for the week.
The Bengal Marching Band typically does 3-4 shows per year. By the end of camp, we will have Pre-Game and have started our first halftime show.

Check your ISU Email Address if you have registered for MUSP 1179 to find this link. Packets and Music are being sent by July 21 (addresses on Google Doc, or emailed to Drum Corps students).

Bengal Marching Band Scholarship Information
ISU Student Members of the Bengal Marching Band will automatically receive a $500 scholarship.
Bengal Dancer: $500
Section Leader: Add $350 Bonus
Drum Major: Add $550 Bonus
Drum Corps Bonus: $250 - Complete a drum corps season prior to band camp
Pep Band: $300
Additional scholarship money may be offered by attending the department of music scholarship audition day.
Scholarship auditions for all ensembles are held on the last Saturday in February. All students interested in being a Music major or minor must audition. You may apply for a scholarship on the music department website and a staff person will contact you to set up a specific time. Scholarship auditions can also be made by appointment in the event you cannot make one of the scheduled audition days. It's never too late to audition!
Students receiving scholarships must be full-time ISU students with a minimum GPA of 2.0.
