Initiative Founder:
The Center for Accessibility, Leadership, and Innovation, is an initiative of the Department of Disability Services at Idaho State University. With their support, the center serves as a centralized, cost-recoverable hub for accessibility support, leadership, and innovation, that is designed to expand access and advance inclusive solutions.
Department of Disability Services:
Disability services provides support to students with disabilities to ensure equal access to education. These services typically include accommodation such as extended test time, note-taking assistance, accessible materials, and physical campus accommodations. The goal is to create an inclusive learning environment where students with disabilities can succeed academically.
Partnership Efforts:
The Department of Disability Services has provided The Center for Accessibility, Leadership, and Innovation with a strong research foundation, deep subject-matter expertise, and essential institutional resources. Through ongoing collaboration, the department has supported the development of programming, contributed specialized knowledge in accessibility practice, and partnered in the planning and execution of multiple events. These efforts ensure that the center’s initiatives are grounded in evidence-based strategy and real-world application.
