Industry Connection

Industry-Driven. Workforce-Aligned. Student-Focused.
When industry members engage with K-12 and classroom teachers and students they help shape the future of the workforce.
It is never too early for students to start thinking about what they want to do as a future career. Engaging early helps youth see the connections between what they are learning in the classroom and how it connects to careers. Help shape Idaho's workforce!
The United Way of Southeast Idaho partnering with the College of Technology and other community organizations has developed a dashboard that can be used to connect industries that are interested in supporting K-12 education to educators that have specific needs.
How We Partner
Industry & Employer Partnerships

The College of Technology collaborates with employers across technical disciplines to align education with real-world workforce demands.
Partnerships support:
- Workforce-aligned curriculum and skill development
- Internships, applied learning, and experiential opportunities
- Hiring pipelines for graduates in high-skill, in-demand careers
Technical Advisory Committees (TACs)
Each technical program is supported by an industry-based Technical Advisory Committee (TAC). These committees provide guidance on curriculum relevance, emerging technologies, and workforce expectations.
TACs help ensure:
- Programs remain current and industry-informed
- Continuous improvement based on employer input
- Graduates are prepared for today’s and tomorrow’s jobs

K-12 & Community Engagement

The College of Technology also partners with K-12 schools and community organizations to support early exposure to technical careers and create clear educational pathways into postsecondary training.
These efforts help students explore career options, build foundational skills, and connect education to future opportunities
