Brief Biography:
Dr. Kristin Van De Griend engages in public health research and practice with the intent to promote health equity. She employs community-based, mixed methods in her research, which she grounds within social justice and intersectionality frameworks. She has trained globally through fellowships at the U.S. Naval Medical Research Unit-2 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia conducting infectious disease research, and at iccdr,b in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Kristin is passionate about strengthening transdisciplinary teamwork and interprofessional education.

Brief Biography:

Dr. Nnamdi Moeteke is a public health physician committed to working with underserved communities for health development. Most of his practice and research has focused on strengthening health systems especially with respect to primary healthcare, and training of health workforce for enhancement of service delivery and improvement in population health outcomes. In the area of infectious diseases, he has been involved in clinical and program management of tuberculosis for almost a decade, and has worked as a WHO State Technical Facilitator for polio control activities in Delta State, Nigeria. He was a deputy coordinator for the Ebola Virus Preparedness and Response Committee of the Delta State University Teaching Hospital, and a case officer in the Delta State COVID-19 Preparedness and Response Team. He is a Member of the West African College of Physicians (Faculty of Community Health), and a Fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health.

Brief Biography:

Dr. Ryan Lindsay is interested in building rural health systems globally and locally. I have led research in how substance use, including smoking, influences communicable disease infection and progression. My research has highlighted the plight of people living with HIV/AIDS and/or addiction, people experiencing homelessness or disability, immigrants, and sex worker populations. I have been involved in Community Health Worker workforce development programming in Idaho since 2016.

Brief Biography:

Dr. David Hachey is a Professor of Family Medicine and the Program Director of the ISU Ryan White Part C Program which provides HIV care to nearly 200 persons living with HIV in Easter Idaho.  He has worked providing services for HIV prevention, treatment of STIs, hepatitis C and other communicable diseases.  He also has an active global health practice and has completed sabbaticals with the University of Cape Town, South Africa, and the University of Namibia. He currently holds a visiting professor title with the University of Namibia where he has strong clinical and research interests with HIV and TB.
