Pollinator Week
National Pollinator Week was held June 16 through June 22, 2025. The Portneuf Pollinator Partnership composed of various community organizations celebrated pollinators during that week with free public events, culminating with a special event at Idaho Fish and Game’s Edson Fichter Nature Area on June 21.
- Guided Plant Walks were led by Sawabi Chapter of the Idaho Native Plant Society, Pocatello’s Sacajawea Park Pollinator Garden.
- Story Time and Seed Paper Making was held at the Marshall Public Library.
- Guided Family Bird Walk, Edson Fichter Nature Area.
- The Pollinator Celebration on June 21, 2025 had 171 visitors and offered information booths and fun activities that promoted the importance of Idaho’s pollinators to wildlife habitats and the agriculture industry.

The Idaho Museum of Natural History had a fun craft that allowed kids to make their own pollinator.

Sagebrush Steppe Land Trust’s booth showcased painting crafts for kids.

Paul Allen, a Master Naturalist, taught kids about the Monarch Waystation at Edson Fichter.

Elizabeth Dyer led a paper making activity at the library during Pollinator Week.
