How to Grow Native Plants Using the Winter Sowing Method | Would you like to enhance your outdoor space with vibrant native plants in your flower bed or patio container? This class will cover how to grow your own native plants from seed. “Winter sowing” is an easy, affordable technique that produces hardy seedlings which can be planted outside. We will provide a container, potting soil, and a selection of native seeds to plant, giving you a hands-on experience.

Unity Trail Portneuf Greenway Pollinator Planting | Meeting the first Wednesday of every month; Portneuf Medical Center front entrance; 4:30 p.m. Anyone from the public is welcome to come! You can actively participate as much or as little as you would like.
- November - Develop overall goals and guiding principles.
- December - Develop a draft plan for Hospital Trailhead area
Century Heights Fall Planting Event | Join the Portneuf Pollinator Partnership in helping Sagebrush Steppe Land Trust with planting native antelope bitterbrush and sagebrush plugs. This is a great opportunity to learn more about native vegetation while spending time outside.
Eco-Gardening for Pollinators | This class will be offered twice at two different venues and will cover the following: 1) definition of and role of pollinators in the environment, 2) how to incorporate pollinator plantings into your landscape, 3) strategies for implementation (anyone can do this), 4) habitat elements to consider, 5) local resources for ongoing information and support, 6) how to source native plants and seeds, and 7) best practices for the future!

The Magic of Monarchs Event | September is Monarch Month! Come celebrate the magic of monarchs by learning about their lifecycle, migration patterns, and why milkweed is important. The Portneuf Pollinator Partnership will be handing out free milkweed seeds to anyone who would like to start a monarch friendly patch in their own yard! Portneuf Valley Farmer' Market; Saturday, September 6 @ 9-1 pm!
