Providing Feedback to Idaho State University’s Strategic Plan

Idaho State University’s (ISU) Strategic Planning Working Group (SPWG) invites your feedback on the proposed ISU 2018-2022 Strategic Plan.  The University will use the strategic plan to guide university decisions for the next five years.  The State Board of Education will track ISU’s progress toward the objectives and use them when evaluating proposals and actions.

ISU’s mission and core themes are not part of this review.  ISU went through a similar process in 2015 to revise and review those parts of the plan.  In 2016, the University adopted the updates and the State Board of Education and the Northwest Council on Colleges and Universities accepted the updates.

There are multiple avenues to provide comments between from February 15-24, 2017.  All feedback is non-attributed.

Please send your comments to the SPWG at  Staff and faculty members can also contact their College or Division’s strategic planning representatives.  To find out who represents you, follow the link from ISU’s Strategic Planning web page at

Additionally, ISU’s Faculty Senate representatives ( and Staff Council Representatives ( will also collect comments.

The SPWG will review and discuss your recommendations then adjust the document.  Upon completion, ISU’s Institutional Effectiveness & Assessment Council will review it and provide a recommendation to President Vailas who is ISU’s approving authority.
