Seeking Faculty Research Fellow

The ISU Office for Research is conducting an internal search for a faculty member to serve as a Faculty Research Fellow. We welcome applicants with research experience, expertise, or interest in the health and/or biomedical sciences, and interest in learning about working in research in an administrative capacity. The Fellow will use this professional development opportunity to work on a NIH-funded project assessing biomedical research capacity at ISU (BRING-IT: Biomedical Research Investing in Growing ISU Talent). They will work closely with project leadership (Drs. Kristin Van De Griend and Michele Brumley), develop and review reports on research activities for assessment purposes, collaborate with offices in research and across campus, provide input on project direction, and contribute to the research enterprise at ISU. There is room for this individual to figure out new ways to further advance the project. This position has been made possible by funding from the NIH project, and is advanced in collaboration with the Office for Research. The Faculty Research Fellow is eligible to receive one course release per semester, summer support, and an administrative stipend each semester. The position will begin in Summer 2026, and continue through the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters. Continuation in the position for a second year may be possible with successful performance and continued funding.
