Who is Generation Z? Speaker and Date Announced for the 2025 Teaching and Learning Symposium

Generation Z has a unique set of attributes, experiences, preferences and expectations about how they engage with others. Are your methods of teaching and mentorship keeping up?

Faculty, staff and graduate students are invited to attend the 2025 Teaching and Learning Symposium, happening Friday, March 14 from 9 – 11 a.m. in the SUB Ballroom. This year’s keynote speaker is Generation Z researcher, author and speaker Dr. Corey Seemiller, who will present on the ways to best mentor, support, teach and supervise Generation Z students to leverage their potential for success.

Registration is required, with free breakfast from 8 – 9 a.m. for the first 75 registered. Register by February 26.

Can’t make the symposium on March 14? Attend Dr. Seemiller’s community presentation on Thursday, March 13 from 6 - 8 p.m. in the SUB Salmon River Suite.

The Teaching and Learning Symposium is a free annual event presented by the Idaho State University Program for Instructional Effectiveness (PIE). The symposium aims to inform and empower educators across campus with presentations, workshops and networking opportunities.
