Idaho State University recently recognized the achievements of 39 graduates who successfully obtained their GED credentials through the College of Technology's Adult Education program. The event at the ISU Student Union Building Ballroom featured speeches and testimonials, shedding light on the challenges overcome and the transformative power of education in the lives of the graduates. Through their stories, these individuals demonstrated determination, resilience and the profound influence that educational opportunities can have on personal growth.

"Being a mom made me feel like getting my GED was impossible," said Brandelia from Pocatello. "However, with the help of ISU staff and teachers, it was much easier. I felt so comfortable in my classes because I knew I was going to get the help I needed. Now that I have my GED, I feel more confident and proud of myself."

"I needed to be an example for my kids. That was my motivation," said Bryon from Blackfoot. "The support I received from the staff at ISU Blackfoot was absolutely amazing! They helped me through the toughest parts."

The Adult Education program at Idaho State University has made a significant impact on numerous lives, offering GED preparation and English as a Second Language (ESL) instruction. "I challenge you graduates to continue pursuing your dreams and aspirations," said ISU College of Technology Interim Dean Debbie Ronneburg during the ceremony. "You have demonstrated the strength and resilience necessary to overcome challenges and persevere through hard times. So, remember this night and all you have accomplished, and go do great things."
