College of Technology Health Occupations Achieve Officer Status in State and National Organizations

Several Idaho State University faculty members and staff in the College of Technology’s Health Occupations Department have recently been elected as officers in state and national organizations.

Health Information Technology (HIT) faculty, Rhonda Ward, BS, RHIA, has been elected as president of the Idaho Health Information Management Association (IdHIMA) Board.

Another HIT faculty, Mona Doan, MS, RHIA, CCS-P, has been elected as First Year Director-at-Large, and Wade Lowry, RHIA, as Second Year Director-at-Large, to the IdHIMA.

Respiratory Therapy Program Director, Eugene Demekhin, MBA, RRT, AHI, RCP, has been elected to Vice President of the Utah State Society of American Medical Technologists. Eugene also serves as the chair of the scientific committee of the state society. Health Occupations Executive Director, Dr. Henry Oh, has been appointed to the Credentialing Review Board for Certified DBA Practitioners (CDBAP), a certification for doctors of business administration (DBA) of the National DBA Society. The credentialing program is sponsored and supported by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
