Grievance Policy in 30-Day Comment

Policies with proposed changes are sent out periodically in ISU Today for faculty and staff comment. Current policies out for 30-day review can be found at the policy website. To submit feedback you may email policies@isu.edu or submit anonymously on the policy website.

• 4041 Grievance Procedures for Institutional Faculty: 

Outlines the process for a faculty member to grieve an event.  This policy has gone through extensive revisions, including: the definition of what is grievable; the burden of proof in a grievance; the make-up of and process for forming a grievance committee;  functions formerly provided by the Office of Human Resources, the Provost’s Office, and college Deans would shift to the Faculty Senate.

This policy will stay in 30-Day Review for the entire summer and into the academic year, due to its late posting at the end of the semester.  Review period expires on September 1, 2021.
