Dr. Tera Letzring Co-Edits Textbook

March 1, 2021

Dr. Tera Letzring from the Psychology Department is pleased to announce the publication of The Oxford Handbook of Accurate Personality Judgment, which she co-edited with Dr. Jana Spain from High Point University in North Carolina. This handbook reviews theory and research on the accuracy of personality judgments. The chapters explain the major theoretical models that guide research in this area, describe various methodological approaches to evaluating accuracy, and review recent empirical findings on topics such as moderators of accuracy, self-other asymmetry, self-knowledge, meta-accuracy, and the use of nonverbal cues, environmental information, normative information, and group stereotypes in judgments. Several chapters describe the domains to which accuracy research can be applied, including interpersonal relationships, clinical practice, the workplace, and accuracy training. You can learn more about the book at this website.
