Box Sign In Updates

April 26, 2021

As part of our ongoing efforts to improve technology security and accessibility, Information Technology Services at ISU will soon be making a change to Box, the electronic data storage system available to every employee at ISU. The change will impact how employees sign into Box, switching the sign in process over to ISU’s Identity Management System. This change will happen May 13, and will mean that you will sign into Box with the same username and password you use for many other ISU applications such as Gmail and BengalWeb.

This change is part of the overall Identity Management System project ITS has been implementing, which began with the new login process in December 2019. Over the coming months, many other secure ISU programs will begin utilizing the same system to sign in, including BengalWeb, Gmail, Moodle, and more. The usernames and passwords for these systems will not change; however, the login screen will look different.

ITS will be reaching out to departments and other groups where a Box account may not belong to a person but to a department, college, or course. We want to make sure that access to those accounts is not interrupted, which will mean assigning owners to be responsible for the accounts.

Watch for additional information sent to all Box users as the switchover date approaches.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the IT Service Desk at 208-282-4357 (HELP) or help@isu.edu.
