Idaho State University will present an authentic Thai dinner and silent auction fundraiser at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 16, at Liberty Hall, 325 W. Benton, in Pocatello.

This fundraiser supports the Association for the Promotion of the Status of Women, one of the only organizations that serve domestic violence and sexual abuse survivors in Thailand. Money raised will go to improve the educations and academic opportunities of disadvantaged children and adults in Bangkok, Thailand.

This family-friendly event is hosted by the Thailand Humanitarian Academic Initiative (ThaInitiative) and the ISU Counseling Department and will include:

• authentic Thai cuisine

• silent auction with the crafts from Thailand as well as local products and services

• the opportunity to meet students from ISU’s Counseling Department, recently returned from a service trip with ThaInitiative

• information on the work done by ThaInitiative.

This evening has been organized to raise awareness and initiate efforts to advocate for those affected by domestic and sexual violence, both locally and abroad.

Tickets can be purchased online at www.eventbright.com for $25 or $30 at the door.
