POCATELLO – The Pocatello Branch of the American Association of University Women annual used book sale will be held at the ISU Reed Gymnasium west foyer on Thursday, Sept. 24, from 5 to 8 p.m.; Friday Sept. 25, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Saturday, Sept. 26, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Parking is free on campus after 4 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and all day on Saturday. Limited metered parking is available in the parking lot off of Martin Luther King, Jr. Way and on Red Hill Road. Portions of Martin Luther King, Jr. Way and 9th Avenue are closed for construction; please follow the detour signs.

A large supply of fiction and non-fiction books will be available. Thursday’s sale will be a “special preview” evening, with light refreshments, a “Human Library” of four “books” (four women telling their personal stories), and first choice of the books available. With the exception of any antique or rare books, book prices on Thursday will be $2 for paperbacks and $3 for hardbound. Prices on Friday and Saturday are $1 for paperbacks and $2 for hardbound.

Proceeds support local AAUW-sponsored educational workshops for women entering the workforce. A selection of used books is also available for sale at the Pocatello Co-op on an ongoing basis.

Donations for the sale will be accepted through Friday, Sept. 18, in the entrance to the ISU Continuing Education Building located at 1001 N. 7th Street near City Hall during business hours on weekdays.

The AAUW mission is to advance equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy and research. Membership is open to anyone holding an associate or equivalent, baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Idaho State University is an institutional partner of the Pocatello Branch and students enrolled at ISU are eligible to receive a free e-Student Affiliate membership.
