These collector’s items of model cars ranging from 1960s Mustangs to 2009 Dodge Chargers were dropped off Wednesday, Dec. 9, at the collection box at Sunbelt Communications.

The model cars were used as table centerpieces at the ISU President's Alumni Recognition Dinner held during 2009 ISU Homecoming activities, which were on the theme "Cruising with the Cats."

"Our alumni enjoyed the model cars at the recognition dinner and several commented about them," said Bill Kobus, director of the ISU Alumni Association, "But I doubt they enjoyed them nearly as much as will the children receiving them this Christmas."
