The Department of Disability Services at Idaho State University Idaho Falls is seeking a dedicated and reliable student to fulfill the position of Note-Taker. Responsibilities:

• Attend designated classes and take accurate and comprehensive notes during lectures, discussions, and presentations.
• Organize and categorize notes in a clear and legible manner, ensuring their accessibility to students with disabilities.

• Attend periodic training sessions or workshops provided by the Department of Disability Services to enhance note-taking skills and understanding of accessibility guidelines.

• Currently enrolled as a student at Idaho State University Idaho Falls.
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to take clear and organized notes.
• Excellent listening and comprehension skills to capture key information during class sessions.
• Dependable and punctual with the ability to attend classes regularly.
• Respectful of privacy and able to maintain confidentiality when handling student information.
• Familiarity with assistive technologies or software used in note-taking is an advantage, but not required.
• Sensitivity and understanding of the challenges faced by students with disabilities.

The Idaho State University Idaho Falls IT Services Department is seeking a knowledgeable and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Technician/Representative. In this role, you will provide technical support and assistance to students, faculty, and staff, ensuring the efficient operation of technology services on campus.

Responsibilities:

• Respond to IT service requests and inquiries from students, faculty, and staff in a timely and professional manner.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, both remotely and in-person, and provide appropriate solutions or escalate problems to higher-level technicians when necessary.
• Assist with the setup, installation, and maintenance of computer systems, printers, projectors, and other technology equipment.
• Support users in utilizing various software applications, email systems, learning management systems, and other IT resources.
• Educate users on best practices for data security, password management, and IT policies.
• Perform routine equipment checks and updates, including antivirus software, operating systems, and software patches.
• Collaborate with the IT Services team to document and update knowledge base articles and standard operating procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of service requests, resolutions, and inventory management.
• Assist with training sessions or workshops to promote technology literacy among students, faculty, and staff.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled as a student at Idaho State University Idaho Falls.
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in non-technical terms.
• Familiarity with Windows and Mac operating systems, as well as common software applications.
• Basic understanding of networking principles and protocols.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment, demonstrating reliability and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and software applications.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in capturing high-quality video and audio recordings for online courses and distance learning initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Operate video cameras, microphones, and other recording equipment to capture classroom lectures, presentations, and instructional materials.
• Set up and position cameras, ensuring optimal framing, lighting, and sound quality for recording sessions.
• Monitor video and audio feeds during live-streamed or pre-recorded sessions to ensure optimal quality and troubleshoot technical issues when needed.
• Collaborate with instructors and the Distance Learning team to determine the best camera angles and shots to capture instructional content effectively.
• Assist in video editing and post-production tasks, including trimming footage, enhancing audio, and incorporating graphics or additional media.
• Maintain and organize video equipment, ensuring proper storage, maintenance, and availability for recording sessions.
• Follow established protocols and guidelines to ensure compliance with copyright and privacy regulations.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends in distance learning and video production, suggesting improvements and enhancements to enhance the learning experience.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled as a student at Idaho State University Idaho Falls.
• Proficiency in operating video cameras and audio equipment, with a strong understanding of camera angles, lighting, and sound principles.
• Experience with video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
• Excellent attention to detail, ensuring video and audio recordings are of high quality and meet technical specifications.
• Ability to follow instructions and collaborate effectively with instructors and the Distance Learning team.
• Familiarity with distance learning platforms and technology tools is a plus.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple recording projects.
• Basic troubleshooting skills to address technical issues that may arise during recording sessions.
• Prior experience in video production or multimedia-related roles is preferred but not required.

The TRIO Educational Opportunity Center and Veterans’ Upward Bound Program at Idaho State University, Idaho Falls, seeks a part-time Outreach Specialist to assist with recruitment efforts, participant engagement, and administrative support. Outreach Specialist Duties:

• Coordinate and participate in recruiting/outreach events

• Develop and implement strategies to attract potential participants

• Build and maintain strong relationships with program participants

• Support advisors, program director, and staff with outreach needs

• Schedule appointments between participants and program advisors

• Collaborate with local organizations and community programs

Administrative Support Duties:

• Enter participant data using the Blumen system

• Manage confidential documents containing personal information (PII)
