Seating Arrangements for All Events

Banquet Arrangement

Room Capacities: 210

A banquet arrangement features guest seating around rectangular or round tables. This arrangement is ideal for events centered around dining and social interaction. It works especially well for receptions, award dinners, fundraisers, holiday parties, company parties and other celebratory gatherings.

Audience Arrangement

Room Capacities: 40-400

An audience arrangement features rows of chairs facing the front, maximizing seating and visibility for small to large audiences. This setup is ideal for lectures, keynote presentations, panel discussions, performances, and events where the focus is on a speaker or stage.

Conference Arrangement

Room Capacities: 8-16

A conference arrangement is designed around one or more central tables, making it ideal for meetings that require collaboration, discussion, and decision-making. This setup works best for board meetings, strategy sessions, small group discussions, and executive meetings where clear communication and face-to-face interaction are important.

U-shape Arrangement

Room Capacities: 20-28

A U-shape arrangement positions tables in a U formation facing the front, allowing participants to see both the presenter and one another. This setup is ideal for interactive trainings, workshops, group discussions, and meetings that benefit from collaboration and open dialogue.

Classroom Arrangement

Room Capacities: 30-100

A classroom arrangement is a flexible layout that positions tables and chairs in rows facing the front of the room, making it ideal for learning-focused events. This setup works well for trainings, workshops, lectures, seminars, and presentations where attendees need space for notes, laptops, and materials while focusing on a speaker or screen.

Tiered Classroom Arrangement

Room Capacities: 50-100

A tiered classroom arrangement features fixed seating with chairs and tables arranged in rows facing the front of the room, with each row set slightly higher than the one in front of it for clear sight lines. This setup is ideal for lectures, presentations, trainings, and learning-focused events where attendees need space for laptops, notes, and materials. Tiered rooms are available in multiple sizes to accommodate different group sizes.

TAB Auditorium

The TAB Auditorium is a theater-style venue featuring fixed tiered seating, excellent sightlines, and professional lighting and acoustics, making it ideal for lectures, keynote speakers, theatrical productions, plays, dance and music recitals, film screenings, ceremonies, and other large community events.

BSUB Multi-purpose

The BSUB Multi-Purpose Room is a large, flexible venue, offering an open layout that can be configured with tables and chairs to fit a wide range of needs, making it well suited for banquets, receptions, workshops, conferences, trainings, meetings, socials, and other community gatherings.

Frequently Asked Event Questions

Our event spaces are available for community groups, nonprofit organizations, businesses, schools, and individuals, depending on availability and event type.

We encourage you to submit your request as early as possible so we can plan ahead with you. Community (external) reservations are accepted once academic classes have been finalized for the requested semester (Fall, Spring, or Summer). University (internal) requests may be submitted earlier, with final confirmation provided after the academic schedule is set.

Our venues are suitable for most events including meetings, trainings, lectures, performances, recitals, ceremonies, workshops, conferences, and other community events. Event approval depends on space availability and alignment with university policies and guidelines.
