Idaho State University’s Albion Center for Professional Development is proud to introduce new professional development pathways designed to support K–12 educators at every stage of their career.
The Albion Center offers flexible, affordable, high-quality learning experiences that can help educators grow professionally, meet recertification requirements, and advance on their salary schedule — all through a public, accredited university.*
*Subject to specific school, district, charter, and state requirements.
Albion Professional Development (Albion PD)
- Clock hour-based courses designed to support ongoing professional learning.
- Online, self-paced and engaging courses providing high-quality professional development with practical outcomes that can be applied directly to the classroom.
- Course completion will be documented on a university transcript, verifying clock hours and recorded as Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory (S/U).
PD course registration is now open, with course access beginning 9/10/26.
Albion Professional Development+ (Albion PD+)
- Graduate credit courses designed to elevate professional growth and support educators in advancing their careers.
- Online, self-paced, interactive and engaging courses supported by a university instructor.
- Practical tools and strategies educators can implement with students immediately.
- Course completion will be documented on a university transcript, verifying the student’s level of engagement through letter grades (A-F) and recorded as graduate credits (45 clock hours per graduate credit, as required by accreditation).
- Up to 6 PD+ credits can be petitioned to count toward a degree at Idaho State University.
Using Student Voice for Counselor-Led Mini-Sessions
What if students helped shape the counseling support they receive? Counselor-led mini-sessions offer a flexible way to address topics that matter most to students. Learn how schools can use student voice to create relevant, approachable, and responsive counseling support.
