Exemptions from Solicitation

There are some exceptions to the purchasing process for goods and services that may be unique or do not lend themselves to acquisition by solicitation.  Contact the Buyer for the commodity you need for specific instructions.  Examples of exceptions include, but are not limited to:

1. Advertisements directly with media sources
2. Copyrighted materials available primarily from the publisher
3. When an educational discount is applied to the quote
4. Employee education/training
5. Legal services
6. Medical services
7. Professional/Consulting/IT services
8. Scientific equipment for research
9. Used goods
10. Manufacturer repair/maintenance 
11. Purchases classified as being from a sole source
12. Memberships/conferences
13. Purchases from rehab or correctional industries
14. Purchases from approved co-op vendors
15. Purchases from Jaggaer punch out vendors
16. Purchases from Statewide Contracted vendors
