2026-2027 FAFSA IS NOW AVAILABLE!

SPECIAL NOTE

Idaho State University has begun importing 2026–27 FAFSA applications. Please monitor your ISU email and MyISU for updates. You will be notified via ISU email when your FAFSA is processed and your aid offer is available. 2026-2027 federal aid offers are anticipated to begin in May. Please contact our office with any questions.

To check your status, log in to MyISU, open the “My Financial Aid” card, select the appropriate academic year (2025-2026 or 2026–2027) in the upper right-hand corner, and review the “Home” tab for any outstanding requirements. Documents are reviewed once all requested items are submitted.

Applying for Financial Aid is Easy

  • To apply for federal student aid, you need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) annually.
  • When completing your FAFSA, you and all required contributors (spouse, parent, and/or parent spouse, as applicable) will provide consent for the import of federal tax information into your FAFSA.
  • If you have questions or need help, please contact our office.

What types of aid can I get?

There are a lot of options to pay for your education, and knowing what’s out there and what you qualify for can help you make the best financial decisions for your needs.

Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)

In addition to meeting other eligibility factors, you must make Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) towards the completion of your degree each year to qualify for financial aid. SAP includes policies regarding your GPA, credit completion, term completion and maximum credit requirements.
