Kia Ackerman

Hometown: Shelley, Idaho
Major: Exercise Science
Year in School: Freshman
Year on Bengal Dancers: 1st year year

Prior to Bengal Dancers Kia Was a competitive gymnast for 5 years before High School then danced on Shelley High Schools Drill Team till her Senior year. She also was a member of the Infinity Dance Stuido’s Senior Team for 4 years.

 

 


Shaneka Bono

Hometown: Blackfoot, ID
Major: Undecided
Year in School: Freshman
Year on Bengal Dancers: 1st year year

Prior to Bengal Dancers Shaneka danced with Downtown Dance in Blackfoot Id for year. She made the All American team in 2011 at America On Stage Nationals competition. She has trained in Jazz, Ballet and Lyrical.

 


Meagan Brockett

Hometown: Pocatello, Idaho
Major: Physical Therapy Assistant
Year in School: Sophmore
Year on Bengal Dancers: 2nd

Prior to Bengal Dancers Meagan danced at for 16 years. She was a member of Centrury High School Diamond Dancers for 4 years and was head captain her senior year. Meagan has also won 8 overall high point solo awards including Miss Pacific Northwest 2011, along with MVP lyrical solo National Champion in 2011. Currently Meagan is on the Spirit Committee for the Bengal Dancers

 


Tedi Cameron

Hometown: Rupert, Idaho
Major: Clinical Psychology
Year in School: Senior
Year on Bengal Dancers: 4th

Prior to Bengal Dancers Tedi danced at Centre Stage Studios since she was in the 5th grade. She has taken ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, modern and hip-hop. She has performed in the ballets; Annie, Rigaletto, The Swan Princess, Seasons, Lark Ascending, Prayer of the Children, Alice in Wonderland, How the West was won and The Nutcracker. She has also traveled to California and performed at Disneyland and Universal Studios. She has performed at UDA, NDA & USA competitions while on the Bengal Dancers, also winning “All-American” dancer this last year at NDA camp. Currently Tedi is Co-Captain of the Bengal Dancers.

 


Lizzy Colbert

Hometown: Meridian, ID
Major: Exercise Science
Year in School: Sophmore
Year on Bengal Dancers: 2nd

Prior to Bengal Dancers Lizzy has had 5 years studio dance team and 4 years drill team at Mountain View High School. Her senior year, she served as captain and helping their team win District, State and National Champions. Recently she won “All-American” dance title at NDA camp in Vegas.

 

 

Paige Collaer

Hometown: Boise, ID
Major: Psychology
Year in School: Freshman
Year on Bengal Dancers: 1st year

Prior to Bengal Dancers Paige danced for 15 years and on competitive studio teams for 10 years. She has had the opportunity to multiple conventions and workshops and taken from some of the best choreographers in the business.

 

 

Daysha Cresswell

Hometown: Pocatello, ID
Major: Education
Year in School: Freshman
Year on Bengal Dancers: 1st year

Prior to Bengal Dancers Daysha has danced since she was 6 years old at three different studios. She also was on the Pocatello High School Indianettes Dance Team for the last three years. She was head captain her Junior and Senior year, leading her team to State Champs her last year. Currently she is a dance teacher at Gold’s Gym here in Pocatello.

 

 

Hallie Hanohano

Hometown: Pocatello, Idaho
Major: Generals
Year in School: Sophmore
Year on Bengal Dancers: 2nd

Prior to Bengal Dancers Hallie danced at Dance Factory and was a member of the Century High School Diamond Dancers for 4 years.

 


Kimberly Hickenlooper

Hometown: Burley, Idaho
Major: Educational Interpreting Program
Year in School: Senior
Year on Bengal Dancers: 4th

Prior to Bengal Dancers Kim danced with Centre Stage in Burley, Idaho and was a member of the competition team for nine years. She has studied at Broadway Dance Center in New York, attended the summer dance intensive with the Idaho Dance Arts Alliance seven times, and has attended the BYU modern/jazz camp. Currently Kim is Captain of the Bengal Dancers.

 

 


Kelsie Jenkins

Hometown: Boise, ID
Major: Secondary Education of History
Year in School: Sophmore
Year on Bengal Dancers: 2nd

Prior to Bengal Dancers, Kelsie began training in ballet, tap and jazz at age 3 ½ and later picked up hip hop and lyrical. She trained at Dance Pros in Boise, ID for 14 years and at Xpressions Dance Academy in Nampa, ID for 2 years. Kelsie participated in Ballet Idaho’s “The Nutcracker” in the roles of mouse, ladybug, dragon, party child and sailor from ages 6-15. She attended various dance conventions and competitions, including LADF, The Pulse, Adrenaline and Jump all along the Northwest.

 

 

Megan McLean

Hometown: American Falls, Idaho
Major: Radiographic Science
Year in School: Senior
Year on Bengal Dancers: 4th

Prior to Bengal Dancers Megan danced with Cope’s Dance in American Falls, Idaho for 10 years and was a member of their competition team. She danced on the American Falls High School Dance Team for four years and won state three of those years. Megan has attended the summer dance intensive with the Idaho Dance Arts Alliance numerous times. She has also participated in the I-move, ISU Dance concert. This last year she was on the Bengal Dancers team and made the Dean’s List for school. Currently Megan is Co-Captain of the Bengal Dancers

 

 


Taylor Narde

Hometown: Ramona, CA
Major: Undecided
Year in School: Freshman
Year on Bengal Dancers: 1st year year

Prior to Bengal Dancers Taylor danced for 15 years with her local dance studio, she also taught for the past 2 years. Taylor was also a member and Captain at the Ramona High School Song Team, winning first place at the 2012 NDA H.S. Nationals. She was also head choreographer and president for dance productions at Ramona High School.

 


Shayna LaRae Jolley Newton

Hometown: Pocatello, ID
Major: Physical Therapy
Year in School: Freshman
Year on Bengal Dancers: 1st year

Prior to Bengal Dancers Shayna has been trained in Ballet, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Lyrical and Ballroom since she was 2 years old and has taken gymnastics for 6 years. Shayna was also a Highland Varsity Cheerleader for 4 years and was a member of the Highland High School Lassies dance team her senior year. She has also been able to perform at the Utah Stadium of Fire for the 4th of July and Pulse Dance Convention and participated in Ballet Idaho’s “The Nutcracker” for 3 years. She is currently an instructor at Dance TNT here in Pocatello.

 

Paxton Stein

Hometown: Boise, ID
Major: Pharmacy
Year in School: Freshman
Year on Bengal Dancers: 1st year year

Prior to Bengal Dancers Paxton danced at Pat Harris School of Dance, Timberline High School dance team and Meridian Stars. She was the dance champion at stars regional competition in Salt Lake City in 2011. She has trained in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Modern, Point and Contemporary

 

Carlie-Ann Weber

Hometown: Huntington Beach, CA
Major: Undecided
Year in School: Freshman
Year on Bengal Dancers: 1st year year

Prior to Bengal Dancers Carlie-Ann has danced for 13 years, including 9 years of cheer and 3 years of High School dance team. She was Captain of her Song team her Senior year ad hopes to pursue dancing as a career. Currently Carlie-Ann is on the Spirit Committee for the Bengal Dancers
