Reed Gym Swimming Pool
Welcome to the Reed Gym Pool. The Reed Gym pool is a 6 lane X 25 yard pool with a 3 1/2 foot depth in the shallow end and a 10 foot depth in the deep end. Pool temperature is kept at approximately 83-85 degrees. Built in 1951, the pool has seen many changes over the past five decades. Diving boards once resided at the deep end, the pool once served as home for ISU collegiate swimming, balcony exits were installed in late 90's, and the plumbing/electrical systems have seen several upgrades.
Currently the swimming pool is used for lap swimming, recreational swimming, P.E. classes, intramurals, swim meets, and pool rentals.
Kickboards, pull buoy's, and hand paddles are provided for use during lap and recreation swims.
Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Men's and women's locker rooms are located on either side of the pool area and contain showers, dressing areas, restrooms, lockers, and a dry sauna.
Summer Hours
Lap Swim 6-8am, 11-2pm
Combo Swim M/W 3-6pm, T/Th/F 3-7pm
