AHEC Scholars Applications Due Oct. 15


The Southeast Idaho Area Health Education Center (AHEC) announces its AHEC Scholars Program. Applications are due Oct. 15.
 
Students in the following health professions programs who have at least two years left before receiving their degree or certificate can apply:
 

·         Nursing 
·         Physician’s Assistant 
·         Radiology
·         Occupational Therapy Assistant 
·         Physical Therapy Assistant
·         Physical Therapy
·         Occupational Therapy
·         Dental Hygiene
·         Pharmacy 
·         Social Work 
·         Psychology
·         Counseling 
·         Audiology
·         Health Administration
·         Public Health
·         Health Education
·         Athletic Training
·         Speech/Language Pathology

 
They will be part of a 15-member cohort that focuses on working in rural and underserved communities.
 
Upon completion of the program, students receive a nationally recognized HRSA certification.
 
During their participation, students receive a $1,000 stipend to help with travel and school related costs.
