Communication Sciences and Disorders Faculty makes impact at National Convention

The 2017 annual Convention of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) recently held in Los Angeles, CA drew over 15,000 Speech-Language Pathologists, Audiologists, and other Allied Health Professionals. Sixteen faculty members from the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) collectively presented 30 presentations. The peer-reviewed podium and poster sessions included sessions co-presented with current graduate students, alums, and faculty from the ISU departments of Counseling and PT/OT. A range of topics on preparing students to work with specific populations and on utilizing approaches to target specific communication disorders was delivered to this national audience.
