The Summer Institute for Piano & Strings (SIPS) returns to Idaho State University the week of June 22, bringing a series of inspiring performances for the public to enjoy. Throughout the week, audiences will have multiple opportunities to hear these talented young musicians in action.

Faculty and Staff Concert
Tuesday, June 23 at 7:30 p.m.
Stephens Performing Arts Center
Experience an evening of extraordinary chamber music and solo works as SIPS faculty and staff showcase their talents. Tickets may be purchased through the ISU Stephens Performing Arts Center Box Office or by calling (208) 282-3595.

  • Adults – $11
  • ISU Faculty and Staff – $8
  • Pre-college Students (ages 6–18) – $6

Student Solo Night
Thursday, June 25 at 7:30 p.m.
Stephens Performing Arts Center
Listen to some of the amazing and dedicated students as they perform individual selections. This concert is free and open to the public.

Final Concert
Friday, June 26 at 7 p.m.
Stephens Performing Arts Center
The grand finale will feature performances by all of the young musicians attending the institute. From piano duets and trios to small string ensembles, the SIPS Orchestra, and the camp choir, this concert will showcase the students' hard work throughout the week.

This year's theme, “Celebrating 250 Years of American Music,” will be highlighted through works by prominent composers including Scott Joplin, Mark O'Connor, John Philip Sousa, and Marcel Grandjany.

The Final Concert is free and open to the public, and community members are encouraged to attend and experience the incredible music these young performers have prepared.
