ISU Powwow Returns April 3–4 – Volunteers Needed

March 18, 2026

The ISU Powwow is back April 3–4 in Reed Gym—and for the first time in over 10 years, it’s a 2-day contest powwow!

Last year’s event was a one-day social powwow, and this year’s expansion brings an even bigger celebration of Native culture, including dancing, drumming, vendors, and community connection. Powwows are also a great educational opportunity to learn about Native traditions in a welcoming environment.

We’re also excited to bring back the Miss Native ISU Royalty Pageant, with former titleholder Yvonne Warjack (2016–2017) returning to crown this year’s Miss Native ISU.

Volunteers Needed!
Students are encouraged to get involved—this is a great way to support Native student programs and be part of a meaningful campus event.

New to powwows? You’re welcome here!
Just remember to be respectful—listen to the MC, stand during Grand Entry, and ask before taking photos.
