ISU HIPAA Training for Externships

ISU’s HIPAA Training for Externships is now live in Canvas Commons. You can import this module directly into any course with students completing an ISU-sanctioned externship. Faculty are responsible for tracking student completion and quiz results.  

To import the module into your course:

1. Open Commons: Select the Commons link in your global navigation column on the far left of your screen.
2. Find the Module: Type Idaho State University in the search bar to filter only ISU materials. You’ll then be able to find the ISU HIPAA Training for Externships module in the list of courses available for import.
3. Select and Import: Select the title of the module to view its details, then select the Import/Download button on the right side of the page.
4. Choose Your Course: Select the checkbox or dropdown for the specific destination course where you want the content to live.
5. Confirm Import: Select Import into Course. Wait a few minutes for processing, then check your course's Modules page to view and publish your new material.
