Idaho State University Doctor of Audiology Students Participate in Regional Graduate Student Research Symposium
May 4, 2026
Graduate students from the Doctor of Audiology (AuD) program at Idaho State University (ISU) recently participated in a collaborative 10th Annual Graduate Student Research Symposium alongside peers from the University of Utah and Utah State University.
The host of this annual, multi-institutional event rotates between institutions and was held this year in Logan Utah. This event provided ISU students with a valuable opportunity to present their capstone project research, engage in scholarly dialogue, and build professional connections across AuD programs.
A total of 14 students and four faculty from the Audiology program participated in the event. Students presented capstone research posters highlighting a range of topics within audiology and hearing science. Throughout the symposium, students engaged with fellow graduate researchers, faculty and clinicians, answering questions, receiving constructive feedback, and refining their ability to communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences. Participation in this collaborative research symposium helped students gain experience in professional presentation and scientific communication, develop confidence in discussing their work, and learn to think critically about research design and interpretation through real-time dialogue.
The University of Utah will host the event in 2027, with ISU hosting in 2028.
