Division of Campus Operations and Office for Research Leadership Announcement

The Division of Campus Operations, in partnership with the Office for Research, is pleased to announce the appointment of Chuck Rizzo as the ongoing Executive Director for Safety, Environmental, and Research Integrity.

Chuck has served as the Interim leader of the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) team since last fall while simultaneously serving as the Director of Research Integrity and Compliance (RIC). In this new combined role, Chuck will continue to oversee the RIC function, reporting to the Office for Research and lead the EHS team as a key leader for the Campus Operations Division.

“The depth and breadth of Chuck's knowledge, stemming from his extensive experience in both EHS and Research Integrity and Compliance arenas, have served the University exceptionally well during his time at ISU,” said Brian Sagendorf, vice president for campus operations. “His leadership over the past several months has especially brought great stability and efficiency to these key areas of responsibility.”

Campus Operations and the Office for Research invite the campus community to join them in congratulating and thanking Chuck for his continued leadership, knowledge, and experience as he steps into this vital, combined leadership role.
