Presenter: Ryan Randall, Instructional Designer
Date & Time: Tuesday, March 3rd | 11 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Location: Center for Learning & Instructional Excellence | Rendezvous 129
Open pedagogy practices emphasize student agency, active learning, and assignments that position students as participatory creators of information rather than as passive consumers. Many educators find that these practices help students engage more fully in courses, as well as help decrease misuse of GenAI tools. This workshop, part of ISU's Open Education Week, will provide an overview of these practices. We will also brainstorm how adopting one or more of these practices might address difficulties students currently experience.
