Description: UDOIT (pronounced "You Do It") stands for Universal Design Online Inspection tool. The UDOIT course level accessibility checker scans your online content and identifies possible accessibility issues and guides you in effortlessly repairing those issues using inclusive design principles.

Faculty Lecture Series: The Aging Clock: Why Type 2 Diabetes Becomes More Likely with Time

Presenter: Dr. Lizbeth de la Cruz, Assistant Professor, Biological Sciences 

Description: As we age, the risk of developing Type 2 diabetes increases every year. For example, only 4% of people under 45 have Type 2 diabetes, but that number jumps to 27% in those over 65. What drives this change? In this seminar, we’ll explore how healthy aging reshapes our physiology, affecting sugar metabolism, insulin secretion, and the intricate balance that keeps our blood sugar in check.
