Idaho State University Continuing Education and Workforce Training will host the annual Emergency Medicine Conference on February 26–28, 2026, at the ISU Pond Student Union in Pocatello. This year’s conference theme, “When Seconds Count,” focuses on obstetrics and highlights time-critical decision-making in emergency medicine. The conference serves as a continuing education event for health care professionals, with training and contact hours available.

This year’s keynote speaker is Dave Weber, owner of Mountain Rescue Collective, a flight paramedic, and a climbing ranger at Grand Teton National Park. The event will be emceed by Dallen Farmer, assistant paramedic program director and clinical faculty at Idaho State University, and a critical care flight paramedic with more than two decades of experience.

Two optional pre-conference courses will be offered on Thursday, February 26Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS) and Basic Life Support in Obstetrics (BLSO)—and require separate registration. The general conference will take place February 27–28 and will include obstetric and neonatal topics such as emergency delivery, maternal transport, newborn resuscitation, and trauma in pregnancy, along with additional sessions on EMS team dynamics, high-performance CPR, traumatic brain injury, cardiac emergencies, simulation training, and cadaver lab experiences.

The conference will also include its established Wilderness Emergency Medicine Track, featuring sessions such as backcountry CPR, wilderness EMS response, pediatric wilderness case studies, and wilderness physical therapy.

Registration is $50 for the general conference with up to 24 contact hours available.
